💧 Liquid network guide

DePix on the Liquid Network: how a payout arrives, the registered asset that identifies it, and where withdrawals are processed. The payout rules that apply to every network are in Networks and payout addresses.
Liquid Network paused (security incident, 06/Sep/2026)
Both flows on Liquid are disabled: Pix ➔ DePix (deposits) and DePix ➔ Pix (withdrawals). A POST /deposit with a Liquid address is refused with NETWORK_WALLET_UNAVAILABLE. Reference: 01a07718-e5dc-75fd-ad69-75cbd78071b7.

Receiving DePix on Liquid#

Send a lq1… or ex1… address in depixAddress on POST /deposit and the DePix is paid on Liquid. There is no parameter naming a network: the address decides it. A Liquid payout costs R$ 0,99.
Liquid is not a beta network: it is the one DePix has been paid on since the beginning, and the reference for the other two.

Withdrawals are paid on Liquid only#

POST /withdraw converts DePix back to BRL, and it is processed exclusively on Liquid. Receiving DePix on Arkade or on Spark does not enable withdrawals on those networks: receiving and withdrawing are separate flows, and the withdrawal side follows Liquid. This is the standing rule, not a temporary state.
While Liquid is paused, withdrawals are unavailable.

The DePix asset on Liquid#

On Liquid an asset is identified by its asset ID, not by its ticker: any issuer can register any ticker. DePix has a single asset ID.

The name, ticker, precision and issuer domain above are the ones registered for this asset ID in Blockstream's Liquid asset registry, which is the public source anyone can check.

Addresses are confidential#

A Liquid address starting with lq1… is a confidential address: it carries a blinding key, and the amount and asset of an output paid to it are visible only to whoever holds that key. An ex1… address is the unconfidential form of the same thing.
This is a property of the network, not of the API: POST /deposit accepts both forms and pays the same DePix either way.
